Welcome! My name is Tracy and I started Mama Bear’s Dog Treats & Balms, LLC in December of 2021. We have two dogs, Wendy and Echo. Wendy is our Lab/Am Staff mix and is about 7 years old and Echo is our Pitbull mix and is about 3 years old. Wendy was becoming sluggish and had intermittent skin issues which prompted us to change her diet and use some of my essential oil products to address the skin issues. About a year after we adopted Echo, we found out she had an auto immune issue and that fueled the fire to making some drastic changes. That, along with Wendy’s skin issues, led me to taking a class on K9 nutrition and boy did I learn a lot! I also took a K9 Aromatherapy class that taught me about the amazing benefits of many essential oils as well. Over the last year we have transitioned both dogs from kibble to all fresh dog food which started off by adding fresh fruits and vegetables to their kibble and then gradually adding more fresh meat as we decreased the amount of kibble. With these changes, both dogs have more energy, Wendy’s skin has cleared up, and Echo has been given a clean bill of health and is doing well!
I am passionate about helping all dog parents help their dogs by offering treats and products to help their dogs live a happier, healthier life. My treats are made with all natural ingredients you’d find in your pantry while using fruits and vegetables to sweeten and flavor the treats. And most importantly, there are no artificial preservatives or chemicals in the treats, and you can pronounce all the ingredients in these treats! I also have K9 Aromatherapy products that are safe and chemical free. There are balms for their paws, skin issues, and anxiety as well as sprays for such things as bug repellent, deodorizing, and shampoo which are just a few of the products.
